Description

The Droid Division Workshop proudly presents: the super-detailed, solid-state Imperial Probe Droid STL file set!
If I could only make one droid, it would be this one β€” iconic, imposing, and a truly rewarding build.

πŸ€– What You Get:

  • STL files to print the full Imperial Probe Droid

  • Detailed PDF guide with build photos, hardware suggestions, and print advice.

  • Poseable legs, rotatable head, and a removable head lid

  • Designed with internal access to light-up “eye” areas, and wiring paths throughout

Whether you want the towering Full-Scale version or are scaling to a Studio Scale desktop display, this file set is Hoth!

⚠️ Full-Scale Printing Considerations:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING
1:1 scale is massive β€” well over 2 metres tall and will use approximately 40–45kg of filament at the recommended 1.2mm wall settings (0.6 nozzle, 5% infill).

🧠 This is not a beginner project. It’s a serious, advanced print with large parts and complex slicing.
If you’re unsure, I strongly recommend considering printing at:

  • 70% scale: much more manageable, most parts will fit on a 220x220mm bed

  • 29% scale: proper Studio Scale version, with special combines files for scaling included.

πŸ–¨οΈ Printing & Technical Notes:

  • Main files are sliced for 300x300x400mm printers, with a few 500x500mm parts

  • Some parts may push your bed limits β€” ensure your slicer is set to max build size

  • Brims should be minimal (2–3mm), or avoided where possible

  • Ender 3 users: You’ll need to scale down or re-slice to fit smaller beds

  • Internal channels support wiring and lighting for the eyes and body

πŸ’‘ Suggested print setup:

  • 1.2mm wall thickness (2 walls with 0.6 nozzle)

  • Very low infill (5% or less) depending on part shape
Ultimately, settings are your choice β€” check your slicer preview carefully

πŸ› οΈ Stability & Safety:

This is a very large build β€” please use extreme care when displaying.
I recommend using a large, heavy-duty parasol base or similar industrial stand to safely support the droid.
