Welcome to Droid Division. My name's Dave, and I've been making scratch-built, life-size and scaled static robots since I was a kid, back then from cardboard, and in my twenties from wood. Now, with the advent of 3D printing, I make every Droid Division STL file from scratch at my home, for you to print my DD droids and robots at yours.
I always focus on making builds as easy as possible, with lots of printing tips and bonus files, so you don't need to be a 3D printing expert, you just need a (working) 3D printer.
I have an amazing group of friends world wide that beta test every print release on their own machines, big beds and small, helping me refine any project. By the time a model set lands here, it's already been printed across half-a-dozen workshops.
And we've a fantastic, very enthusiastic Facebook group, the Droid Division Print Club — with 19,000+ builders sharing plenty of inspiration and help, painting and modifying their builds. A lot of the catalogue exists because someone there asked for it.
